MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Zonta International is a world-wide service organization of executive women and professional women working together to improve the status of women. Membership in Zonta International and the Zonta Club of St Cloud carries honor, distinction and responsibility and is offered only by invitation.

The objectives of Zonta are to improve the legal, political, socio-economic and educational status of women and to work for the advancement of international understanding and good will. Responsibilities of membership include regular attendance at our business meetings, held the second Thursday of each month (September through May), payment of local and international dues and active participation in our service projects.

MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY AND CLASSIFICATION

Zonta International is a member-classified organization with a requirement that our membership be diversified amongst the professions and/or occupations. Members must be working at least 50 percent of a normal week and willing to support the objectives of Zonta. Member classification is based on occupations and the Zonta Classification system consists of 38 categories based on the International Standard Classification of Occupations.

Prospective members are invited to attend our meetings and/or our service projects. An application form is provided to the prospective member which, when completed, is forwarded to the membership committee which determines if the applicant meets the eligibility requirements.

The membership committee then forwards the application for review and approval at the next monthly board meeting. If approved by the board, an invitation to join the Zonta Club of St Cloud is mailed to the applicant.

If you are interested in attending our meetings, or simply want to learn more about us, please contact Judi Gay, Chair of our Membership Committee
